How do I put the OneClickChat chat button on my web site?

The OneClickChat chat button HTML code must be added to each page of your web site where a chat button is desired. This OneClickChat chat button HTML code can be generated from your OneClickChat account by clicking the Generate HTML tags link on the left navigation bar. Just copy the content of the chat button tag box into each page where you want a chat button to be displayed.

How can I customize the image for the OneClickChat chat button?

You can use the default OneClickChat chat button images, or you might choose to use your own images. To use your own images, you need to put the image files (Gif or Jpeg) on your web server in a public folder, and then enter that image URL's in the Customize buttons web page of your OneClickChat account. You need at least two images, one to be displayed when at least one web site operator is available, and the other to be displayed when no operator is online or all of them are busy.

How can I customize the OneClickChat chat button to call a specific operator?

The default OneClickChat chat button generated by clicking the Generate HTML tags link in your OneClickChat account will let the OneClickChat server decide on the best available operator to be assigned to a new chat request (however, the operator of a chat can redirect the visitor to a different operator at any time). If you need the chat requests generated in specific pages to be directed always to a specific operator, you must choose the desired operator in the Operator compo box from the Generate HTML tags page and press the Refresh button.

How do I change the OneClickChat chat button image from unavailable to available?

This happens automatically when at least one web site operator is logged in the OneClickChat system. If there is at least one web site operator logged in and his status is Available and he is not participating in more than the maximum number of allowed chats (customizable for each operator), the OneClickChat chat button will display the available image; otherwise, the unavailable image will be displayed.

How do I add the chat button to the body of an HTML email?

You can insert the OneClickChat chat button code in any HTML email, and even in the email signature. This can be very helpful for your customers, so they can contact the web site operators as soon as they receive an email. Please see the previous question to find out how you can customize the OneClickChat chat button to call a specific operator or the best available operator.

How do I add multiple operators for my web site?

Multiple operators can be added from the main page Account Summary of your OneClickChat account. Just press the Add Operator link to add a new web site operator, or for each existing operator press the corresponding Edit link to edit his information, or the Delete link to remove the operator.
With multiple operators setup, the OneClickChat server will assign the best available operator (involved in less active chats) to a new chat request. Each operator can see what other operators are online and can redirect any of his chats to a different operator at any time, if required.
The number of web site operators that can be created is limited by your billing options. You can request a different number of operator accounts at any time, using the Update Account link from your OneClickChat account.

How can I view all the visitors on my web site using OneClickChat?

You just need to insert the OneClickChat monitor tag in some or all of your web site pages, and you will be able to see in real-time the visitors that are currently viewing those pages. This OneClickChat monitor tag HTML code can be generated from your OneClickChat account by clicking the Generate HTML tags link on the right navigation bar. Just copy the content of the page monitor tag box into each page where you want to be able to view the visitors (and initiate chats with them).

How can the web site operators initiate chats with the visitors using OneClickChat?

You can send an invitation to chat to any of the web site visitors that are viewing the web site pages containing the OneClickChat monitor tag (see the previous question) by selecting the visitor in the OneClickChat . However, the visitors can choose to ignore this invitation to chat, and also some popup blockers might interfere with this feature.

How can I send an image in a chat?

To send an image to the web site visitor, you must press the Image button on the chat window toolbar, type the URL of the image you want to send in the Enter URL dialog box and then press the Ok button. Currently, images can only be sent as URLs, requiring the image links to be accessible from web browsers.

How can I send a link in a chat?

To send a link to the web site visitor, you must press the Link button on the chat window toolbar, type or paste the URL of the link you want to send in the Enter URL dialog box and then press the Ok button.

How can I send HTML formatted text in a chat?

To send HTML formatted text to the web site visitor, you can type or paste HTMl code directly in the Send text box in the chat window and then press the Send button. The HTML will be rendered in the visitors chat applet.
